Banks Chartered Surveyors was established in Hutton, Preston, in 2023. We act principally for farmers, landowners and rural estates across the North West, and also for developers, local authorities and residential and commercial clients.
Director
Luke Banks is a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS), a Fellow of the Central Association of Agricultural Valuers (FAAV) and an RICS Registered Valuer, with more than a decade's experience in Land Agency.
After Hutton Grammar Sixth Form, Luke joined a firm as a trainee Land Agent, completing his degree and then qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor.
Michelle Slater
Administration and accounts
Michelle looks after appointments, invoices and accounts. She’s usually the first voice you’ll hear when you call.
Jessica Boulton
Administrative assistant
Jessica works in our admin team and looks after information from customers on every aspect of our work, from grants to planning. She keeps our CRM up to date and works with the team on new processes and procedures that continually improve our service. Outside work, she enjoys the gym and the sauna.
Maxwell Lloyd Stafford
Administration
Maxwell supports the day-to-day administration of the practice and looks after our digital work. Maxwell designed this website, builds the automations that take routine tasks off the team’s desks so more time goes to clients, and helps with our marketing.
Josh Forrest
Graduate Land Agent
Josh joined us as a Graduate Land Agent, having recently completed an MSc in Rural Estate Management at the Royal Agricultural University.
Originally from Lancashire, Josh studied Architecture at the University of Liverpool and spent several years in marketing before a longstanding interest in the countryside, agriculture and rural life led him to Rural Surveying.
Josh is now gaining experience across planning, valuation and land management while working towards his professional qualifications. Outside work, he enjoys walking, reading and traversing impenetrable wilderness.
Lexi
Head of Security
Luke’s dog, Lexi, oversees security at our Hutton office with exceptional vigilance and remarkably little paperwork. Duties include greeting every visitor, inspecting all deliveries, patrolling the boundaries and conducting rigorous quality control of any sandwich left unattended. Lexi holds no RICS qualifications, but the ears alone command considerable professional respect.
